Followed this tutorial and got an error. I enter command john out. I'm not sure which version do I use, it is version from ubuntu repos. I think this patch only can parse specific format of input file string, classic version is able to decipher my hash too, isn't it? I should only rename the string. Yanpas what is the output of. Basically all I have done is copied all my hashes which I have in a excel document and copied them into my hash text file in my hashcat folder. Well, first you should probably be specifying -a 0, not -a 3 since you seem to trying to load wordlists, not a mask. Second, it seems like your hash. Please make sure that the hashes are present in the file, and are formatted correctly, 1 per line. Actually, you are right.
